Wedding dreams

I missed you blog. *hug*

Where have I been? Sleeping a lot and having dreams about the wedding. I’m sure I share the same experiences with most brides-to-be, having nightmares such as your photographer being a minute late (I know right? Really haunting.). Meanwhile, the groom has dreams about joining a team of people who can fly. Seriously? I hope I can chill like them grooms.

But what can I say? I’m a few millimeters fat for my wedding gown, and I can’t oh-will-you-relax about it. Our friends ask us how the preps are going and we answer “Oh we’re almost done.” But my subconscious thinks otherwise.

Dream 1.

We were getting married in a Catholic church. No, not the beautiful church where Gail proposed. It was in a dark, dungeon-like cathedral. But in my dream I was thinking “Wow this is my dream wedding, to get married in a Catholic church.” So I was about to walk down the aisle when I saw my bridal bouquet on the floor, wilted and yuck. And I looked at myself and I was wearing this huge puffy gown like it came from the happy ever after ending of an 80s film. in the Philippines. Starring Maricel Soriano. I was hiding behind a wall! Haha! The dream continues when after the wedding, we were all baked sweating and ready for the reception. But of course the priest had to say “You may now kiss the bride,” to which Gail reacted “YES! SA WAKAS! ETO NA ANG PINAKAHIHINTAY KO!” with clenched fists and lip-biting! Ichura! It couldn’t get any worse than that I’m sure, so nagising na ko.

Dream 2.

I arrived so late at my venue, and everyone seemed to be helping themselves to the cocktails already. Gail was still at the aisle, but he was playing the guitar and WAS NOT WORRIED. But of course in the dream I didn’t make tampo. I went to where my girlfriends were and Mariel hugged me so tight we both fell to the floor! But since it was a dream, I did not make tampo. Pagpag sa wedding gown, I went to check the decors, and que horror my centerpieces were gold candleholders with gold leaves and gold flowers! Ack! It couldn’t get any worse than that I’m sure, so nagising na ko.

Marami pa kong mga ganyang ka-absurd na dreams. On my wedding day, however, I will not mind anything else but the dashing pogi groom waiting at the end of the aisle. And my vows, maybe. And my gown, cause I might trip. And the music, of course. Oh are the guest books in place already? Yeah? Is everyone here?

So yeah, just the groom. Seriously. Just my Gail.
